The Irkutsk Region has high energy potential with total capacity 6—8% of the country's energy capacity. However, the severe Siberian climate and a high specific gravity of energy companies require special attention to the energy security of the region and introduction of energy-efficient technologies, energy- and resource-saving equipment, energy and control systems, optimizing of production processes. The exhibition "Energy-Saving" is a significant event of the region.
